TRANSCENDING HUMANITY

“I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.” (Psalms‬ ‭82‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The passage of scripture in our theme verse is so profound and it is of great importance that everyone who is a born again Christian fully understands what it means.

Who are gods? These are children of the most high! The bible in 1 John 4:4 tells us that, ”Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.“ You are of God, that is, you proceed from, you’re born of God. Therefore, this means you are a god.

And our theme scripture further explains that these gods die like mere men. Why? ”They know not, neither will they understand; They walk on in darkness…” (‭‭Psalm‬ ‭82‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬). Firstly, we can see that you the Christian, born of God, are not a mere mortal. You’re not an ordinary being! You’re born of God, that means you have His DNA inside you. How could you be ordinary! Everything about you is supernatural and extraordinary. Hallelujah.

Secondly, we observe that gods die like mere men because they do not know; they don’t know that they are gods! That’s why being born again, having eternal life, the Life of God in you, God wants you to know that you have eternal life so you may function as one who possesses this glorious life (1 John 5:13).

When you know and understand that eternal life is at work in you, you’ll cease to be susceptible to the negative and evil influences of this world. When you understand that you have God’s DNA in you, you’ll know that sickness, disease, failure, and lack have no place in you and your life. Hallelujah!

Paul was so conscious of this truth and reality that he functioned in it fully. Hence, when bitten by a venomous snake in the Island of Malta, he went on unharmed (Acts 28:1-6)! Be so conscious of the realm of immortality that God has brought you into, that it affects your life and physical being as it ought to. You’re not an ordinary man, but a supernatural and extraordinary being. Hallelujah!

Confession:

Glorious Father, thank you for you’ve given me your life and made me to be exactly like you. I’ve transcended humanity and now live and function in the realm of immortality for I’m a god - a child of the the most high!
